Our
Values
Virtual TAS offers consulting services in data optimisation, encouraging a sense of collaboration across sectors with trustworthy information as a connecting thread. Our aim is to create and implement a digital framework that allows for the continued growth of Tasmania, paving the path to a more resilient, prosperous and sustainable future for the entire state.
A valued partnership
Virtual TAS is a joint venture between 42-24 and Enzen Australia that sees the creation of a four-dimensional Digital Twin. This Digital Twin delivers an engineering-grade model of the state, created and updated via Lidar laser technology and photography capture. Over the course of ten years, the Virtual TAS platform will ingest situational, temporal data such as IOT sensor data, enabling real-time analysis of both natural and built environments.
Our Vision
To be recognised as a global leader in the application of wide area spatial intelligence
Our Mission
To advance Tasmania by creating the spatial intelligence and tools people need to optimise what they do
Our Purpose
To create a virtual world that solves real world problems
Credibility
We work with data, and that’s only possible with a lot of trust. Trust in us, and trust in the data itself. We’re a credible source of information, particularly because we’ve invested time, money and technology into the capture process from day one. We’re not saying we’ll create this product if people pay for it – we’ve already created it in order to minimise customer risk.
Sustainability
Tasmania is a beautiful place full of rich natural wonders, and we want to keep it that way. Our technology and data can be used to create a more sustainable state by preventing environmental damage through more efficient disaster response, finding better ways to use our natural resources, and facilitating carbon reduction for enterprises like Sustainable Timber Tasmania.
Proactive Innovation
We’re all about staying one step ahead of Tasmania’s development, not just reacting to problems as they arise. Our Digital Twin predicts needs, finds more efficient ways of doing things and prevents setbacks. We’re proactively innovating and opening up possibilities for amazing things in the future.
Connectivity
A connected state is an efficient state, and we envision a network of industries working together across Tasmania. We know that a lot of the bodies responsible for keeping the state running currently don’t trust each other’s data, and want to encourage collaboration through a platform of credible, indisputable information.
